Financial FAQ

We know dental treatment can be a significant investment. Our team is happy to help you understand your estimated costs, insurance benefits, and payment options before treatment whenever possible.

When is payment due?

Copays, deductibles, estimated patient portions, and other amounts due are generally collected at the time of service unless financial arrangements have been made in advance.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! We offer third-party financing through Sunbit and CareCredit. These options may allow qualified patients to divide treatment costs into manageable monthly payments.

Do I have to pay for my entire treatment plan at once?

Not necessarily. Payment is generally collected as treatment is completed. However, larger or longer appointments may require a deposit or partial payment in advance to reserve the appointment.

Why is a deposit required for some appointments?

Certain appointments require a significant amount of reserved doctor, team, and treatment-room time. A deposit helps us reserve that time specifically for you.

Your deposit is applied toward your treatment when you keep your appointment. Please see our Appointment Policy above for cancellation and rescheduling requirements.

Why do you require a card on file for new patients?

Keeping a secure card on file helps simplify check-in, billing, and balances that may remain after insurance processes a claim.

Your card information is stored securely, and our office will notify you before processing an authorized charge for an outstanding balance after insurance has paid.

What happens if my insurance pays less than expected?

Insurance estimates are our best estimate based on the information available to us, but they are not a guarantee of payment.

If your insurance pays less than estimated, you are responsible for the remaining balance. If it pays more than expected and your account has a credit, you may request a refund or leave the credit toward future treatment.

Why might I have to pay upfront with out-of-network insurance?

Some out-of-network insurance plans do not provide enough information for us to accurately predict what they will pay.

For these plans, we may collect the full fee at the time of service and submit the claim on your behalf. Your insurance company will then send any eligible reimbursement directly to you. This helps prevent unexpected bills or credits months after treatment.

What if my dental insurance is maxed out?

You don't necessarily have to wait until your benefits renew to continue treatment. Sunbit and CareCredit may help qualified patients spread treatment costs into monthly payments.

What if I don't have dental insurance?

No insurance? No problem! We offer an in-office membership plan designed to make routine dental care more affordable for patients without traditional dental insurance.

Explore Our Membership Plan

Can I use the membership plan and dental insurance together?

Our membership plan generally cannot be combined with PPO dental insurance.

There may be exceptions for patients with certain Medicaid or Medicare plans that our office is unable to bill. Contact our team and we can help determine whether the membership plan may be an option for you.

What happens if I have a credit on my account?

You can request a refund or, with your approval, leave the credit on your account to use toward future treatment. Refunds are generally returned to the original form of payment whenever possible.

What if I can't pay my balance?

Please contact our office as soon as possible. We would much rather discuss available options with you than have a balance remain unpaid.

Balances that remain unpaid for more than 90 days may be referred for collections or legal recovery and may affect your ability to schedule future non-emergency treatment.
